Gigwise is the official media partner of Snowbombing Festival and will be hosting ’King Of The Mountain’ competition taking place between the 4 - 9 of April 2011 in the snowy mountains of Mayrhofen Austria.
The competition will see four bands plucked from hundreds, if not thousands, and given the chance to travel to Austria and play the event on the side of the mountain.
One band will be selected from the finalists, and go on and support one of the major acts during the event. Submissions for the competition are open now and will run four weeks until January 31st. Public voting on the final 20 bands to commence on 2nd February and to close on 16th February 2011.
Four winning bands will be announced the week beginning 21st February. One band will then be selected from our four finalists to go on and support one of the major acts during the event and claim a cash prize of 2000 Euros.
Gigwise will also be covering the entire Snowbombing event as well as interviewing the Gigwise King Of The Mountain winner which will also be plugged in that week’s newsletter and featured ‘In the Spotlight’ section on Gigwise.com. Click here for the previous King Of The Mountain winners in 2010.
